Gearbox Mainshaft Circlip- Spitfire and GT-6+

We would draw your attention to the proper fitting of the gearbox mainshaft circlip, part number 112394. This circlip has one end offset and, therefore, it is essential that the offset faces away from the front thrust washer when assembled to the mainshaft.

If the circlip is inadvertently fitted with the offset end facing the thrust washer, failure of the circlip can occur. The illustration shows the correct location of this part.
