Engine Oil Pressure Switch Part No. 121398- All four and six cylinder engines. Triumph GT-6 Mark III, TR-6, Spitfire Mark IV.


Please make immediate arrangements to examine the oil pressure switch on all unsold Triumph vehicles designated above, at both the pre-delivery inspection and teh 1,000 mile inspection.

There are two makes of switches used on these engines: AC Delco and Smiths Industries. They are identified as follows:

AC Delco The Lucar connector end of this switch is made of black plastic material, secured to a metal body by a spun joint. Where this switch is fitted no further action is necessary.
Smiths Industries Switch body is all metal with an insulating washer between body and Lucar spade terminal.

Action Remove the Smiths switch and examine manufacturer date code stamped on one of the hexagon faces.

All switches stamped with the code 12-0 must be replaced. All other codes are satisfactory.

The old switch should be returned under warranty to your distributor.
